Odessa, Texas -
(KWES) A feisty Odessa, Texas grandmother who fought back against thieves is getting some unexpected help.
63-year-old Raquel Pineda didn't back down when three thieves tried to take off with her lawnmower. Raquel managed to hang on while the suspects drove off and dragged her for 25 feet.
She lost a tooth and ended up with a cuts and bruises. The lawnmower was also broken.
That's where Home Depot stepped in.
An employee from a store in North Carolina heard Raquel's story and contacted the Odessa store.
"They were all outraged and everybody was extremely willing to help donate what they had," Genie O'Neill, an Odessa Home Depot associate, said.
They delivered a new lawnmower and gift card on Tuesday.
The surprise didn't end there. Monarch Dental stepped in and is offering Raquel a free exam and x-ray.
