Pensacola, Florida -
(NBC News) Two people are dead and more than 100 are injured after an apparent gas explosion at a Florida jail.
The blast occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Escambia County Jail booking center in Pensacola.
Two inmates were killed and between 100 and 150 injuries were reported, a number of them corrections officers.
A total of 600 inmates that were housed here in the jail. Those that weren't injured have been transferred to other nearby corrections facilities.
