Big Changes Coming to Game Day at Texas Tech

- LUBBOCK -- Texas Tech announced Wednesday morning during a press conference that they will allow vendors to sell beer at Raider Alley during game days this year.

The beer will have to stay out of the stadium, but Blayne Beal with Texas Tech Athletic Communications, said selling alcohol at Raider Alley is the last thing fans needed for a full game day experience.

Right now, alcohol is only sold at the stadium in the premium seats, and that is a special price those fans pay. Beal said in order to sell alcohol inside the stadium to the general public they would have to stop handing out game day passes for fans to come in and out of the stadium as they please. Beal said that is not something he thinks fans would like.

Other changes fans need to know include the moving of RV parking to the John Walker Soccer Complex, and the addition of security cameras to the stadium.
