90-Day Drought Forecast for West Texas

- LUBBOCK -- Chances are West Texas will not escape drought any time soon according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. 

NOAA’s drought outlook for April, May and June put West Texas in a category called “continue or worsen.” NOAA’s temperature outlook for April, May and June showed the area has an above average change of higher-than-normal temperatures.

As of Saturday White River Lake, and Lake Meredith were officially listed as 0% full by the Texas Water Development Board. Mackenzie Lake was listed at 5% full, and Lake Alan Henry was 62.7%.
