Special Story Times to Honor Black History Month

AMARILLO - The Amarillo Public Library has a series of special story times for Black History Month.

Prominent leaders from the area come in and read to the kids at 2 PM every Saturday in February and one in March.

This way, each of the five Amarillo Public Libraries can host a reading.

KAMR'S Blessing Woksman and Amarillo Independent School Board Member, James Allen read at the East Branch Library Saturday, Feb 17.  Blessing read Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed. Allen read Crown: An Ode to a Fresh Cut by Derrick Barnes and Gordon C. James. 
Here are the future readings:
February 24:  Downtown Library – 413 SE 4th
March 3:  Southwest Branch Library – 6801 W 45th
