Athletes of all kind spend their afternoon, running throwing and lifting up gold at the Special Olympics.

The spring games started at 9:30 a.m. at Boys Ranch.

The event was free and open to the public, with proceeds going to help out the Special Olympics Texas.

The Special Olympics Texas provides opportunities yearly for more than 51,000 children and adults throughout the lone star state.
