Southwest Airlines Removes Flights Based on Demand

AMARILLO -- Southwest Airlines is planning on removing two flights that come into Amarillo.

One was removed in March and another will be taken of the schedule in August.

Officials say the decision is based on demand. 

The Wright Amendment will take effect in October. Officials is expecting to cut flights then but nothing is set at this time.

Once the August cuts occur, there will be: 4 flight to Dallas, 2 to Denver, and 1 to Las Vegas.
