AMARILLO -- People around the panhandle woke up early this morning to some snow on the ground.

Just over four tenths of an inch officially fell according to the National Weather Service.

It tied a record set back in 2007.

Chief Meterologist John Harris said that anywhere between a quarter of an inch to three quarters of an inch fell in Amarillo.
