Well the heat's grip on the High Plains is still strong. Hello folks and good evening to you. The next few days will not see much of any relief from the 90s as the upper level high hangs out over us. Tonight's mostly clear skies will allow lows in the 60s and southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph. Find some shade tomorrow afternoon, though there won't be many clouds to help with that. Temperatures will reach the mid 90s here in Amarillo and the upper 90s from Perryton to Guymon. This same pattern lasts until Sunday when the upper level high shifts to the east, but this looks to be temporary. It will be long enough to allow a slight drop in daytime highs and a bit more cloud cover, a possibly a shower or two by next Wednesday but it's still pretty far out. We'll keep watching and waiting.
Have a wonderful evening!
