Salvation Army's Finishes Up Gift Giving
By Kayla Zadel
Thousands of children will have a Christmas this year thank to a local program that gives back. Volunteers are finishing up their month long help with the Salvation Army's Angel Tree. Today was the last day to pick up gifts at the Rex Baxter building. The program's designed to help provide families with presents throughout the Christmas season. The Angel Tree's served more than 1100 children this year. They received gifts varying from clothes, toys and bikes. The Salvation Army says they were successful because of their volunteers. Toys that aren't picked up will go to the Salvation Army's community outreach, church and saved for next year's event.
