River Road ISD Homeowners Property Taxes Going Up After Election
AMARILLO -- Homeowners in the River Road ISD will soon be paying more in property taxes.
The issue passed 74 percent to 24 percent.
The district says it plans to use the extra $124,000 to upgrade technology and make improvements to the roof and to the air conditioning system.
They say they also want to hire more teachers to lower class sizes and offer better salaries to teachers they have on staff.
