AMARILLO -- Region 16 Education Service Center announced that Rod Schroder, superintendent of Amarillo ISD, is the 2014 Region 16 Superintendent of the Year.
Schroder will represent Region 16 as its nominee for the 2014 Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Texas Superintendent of the Year.
Each year, candidates are chosen for strong leadership skills, dedication to improving the quality of education in their school districts, commitment to public support and involvement in education, and the ability to build good employee relations among teachers and staff members.
“An example of the outstanding superintendents in our region, Rod Schroder will represent Region 16 very well,” John Bass, Executive Director, said. “He certainly deserves the recognition as a quality leader, not only in Amarillo ISD, but also in the panhandle area.”
