Randall County Looking to Add to Panhandle War Memorial
By Martin Barbosa
AMARILLO -- Randall county has got the ball rolling on a project that could bring a Vietnam War era Huey Helicopter to the Panhandle War Memorial.
Yesterday the commissioners gave the go ahead for Judge Ernie Houdashel to find a helicopter for display.
Judge Houdashel says the helicopter would be donated by the military to the county and that they are looking to raise money for the cost of painting the helicopter for display.
