Pregnant Woman's Murder Remains Unsolved

Amarillo - Charlesetta Telford, better known as Ce-Ce was shot multiple times in June of 2016 while walking into her apartment on the 5900 block of Plum Creek.

"She was pregnant, her family told us that and that was confirmed and both she and the unborn baby died in this incident," said Lt. Erick Bohannon, with the Special Crimes Unit.

Bohannon says it was warm outside at the time of her murder and there were witnesses outside who described a potential suspect.

Multiple officers, including the SWAT team responded to try and find the killer but Bohannon says he wasn't found.

"It is just confounding us as to why we can't get any information from anybody as of yet about who did this," added Bohannon.

Bohannon says this crime is especially troubling because there was evidence Telford was trying to run away.

"The killing of the unborn baby is a crime in it of itself so this is a tragedy, number one for Ms. Telford and her family and number two, the fact that we can't get any cooperation from anybody who may know who did this," said Bohannon.

Telford's family calls the Special Crimes Unit often to get an update on the case.

Bohannon is hopeful one day he will be able to give them justice.

"I think somebody out there knows who shot her and we are just going to have to rely on them to come forward and tell us who did this," said Bohannon.

If you have any information regarding Telford's murder, you are asked to call the Special Crimes Unit.
