AMARILLO - Christmas came early for the Potter County Sheriff's Office.
They now have an armored vehicle called a BATT, or Ballistic Armored Tactical Truck.
The vehicle will provide protection for officers to get close during standoffs without having to call in Amarillo Police or Randall County Deputies for assistance.
The vehicle was bought and paid for by forfeited asset funds so this did not cost taxpayers anything.
