Polk Street was of nice rides for the Polk Street Cruise.

Car clubs from across the panhandle brought some of the best antique and collectible cars to Amarillo's classic main street.

Big crowds lined the street as hundreds of drivers relived the cruisin' days.

The event was free and everyone was welcome.

Tim and Tish Holloway tell us, "we're seeing cars we've never seen before and we love old cars.  It's perfect weather, and perfect Amarillo weather..

Irene Sauceda says, "it's nice to see all these people out here and have all these cars fixed up.  It gives these guys a chance to show their wheels and run their motors real loud."

From older and newer models of corvettes to an old fire truck, a wide variety of vehicles drove down Polk.
