Physics Students Float Life-sized Boats

AMARILLO -- Ascension Academy physics students got a real life lesson at the Gold's Gym pool today.

After the students studied buoyancy, density, pressure, and water pressure; Ascension physics teacher Eddie Edwards challenged them to build boats that they could float - with a person sitting in the boat!

The 12 students Teamed-up to form five teams to test the boats.

At least three boats made it from the from the one end of the pool to the other side.
