UPDATE: One Person Killed in Late Night Wreck, Another Seriously Injured

AMARILLO - UPDATE: 

Amarillo Police have identified the man that died in the overnight wreck. Officials say 20-year-old Jaime Dominic Escalante Jr. died after pulling out in front of the Ford Explorer.

Officials have also updated information on the passenger in the Mustang. The juvenile has life threatening injuries.

ORIGINAL:

One person is dead and another person is injured after a late night car wreck.

Officers were called out to 45th and Bell around 11:45 Thursday night.

Police say a Ford Explorer was driving North on Bell when a Mustang pulled out of United Supermarket and was hit.

The driver of the Mustang was taken to the hospital where they later died.

The passenger of the Mustang has non-life threatening injuries.

Police say no one was injured in the Explorer.

We're told speed and alcohol were not factors.

The incident is still under investigation.
