ALBUQUERQUE -- A man arrested for a murder for hire plot in Clovis has plead not guilty in federal court.

Cody Guss entered the plea to the charge of using a cell phone for interstate travel for the purpose of committing a murder.

Guss is accused of trying to hire an undercover Amarillo Police Officer to kill his wife back in February.

According to court documents Guss offered to pay travel expenses and $5,000 once the murder was done.

Guss was indicted on the charge last week by an Albuquerque federal grand jury.
