UPDATE - Amarillo Police: Man Tased, Arrested After Reportedly Throwing Rocks at Vehicles

AMARILLO - On Monday Night, the Amarillo Emergency Communications Center received several 911 calls of a person throwing rocks at vehicles.

Officers were told that the suspect was in the area of I-40 and Bolton.

Police found 39-year-old Michael Christopher Meyers in the westbound grass median at that location.

As officers arrived, Meyers threw a rock and a beer bottle at a police unit.

Officers contacted Meyers, who was still holding rocks in his hands and refusing to comply with officer’s commands to drop them. A Taser was used to take Meyers into custody.
