The NFL announces it is taking a stronger stance against domestic violence.

The new policy includes a six week suspension without pay for a first time domestic violence offense.

A second offense could result in a lifetime ban from the league.

It comes after Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice was given a two game suspension for allegedly hitting the woman who is now his wife.
