IRVING -- It's a trend hitting the world and part of our family is getting in on the action.

Perry Sook, the guy in the middle, is the CEO of our station KAMR NBC 4.

He along with Vice Presidents Tim Busch and Brian Jones all took the als ice bucket challenge.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, affects the brain and spinal cord.

The ice bucket challenge is simple. When you get challenged you've got 24 hours to pour ice water on yourself or donate to the ALS Association.

As of today, more than $30-million has been donated to the association.
