Portales Man Guilty of Trafficking Methamphetamines

PORTALES -- Charles Lopez, 27, of Portales, was found guilty by a Roosevelt County jury of Trafficking Controlled Substances.
In February of this year, as part of an operation by the Region V Drug Task Force, and Portales Police Officer Nate Hyde, Charles Lopez sold a baggie of methamphetamine to undercover officers.
The jury deliberated one hour before returning their guilty verdict.
Lopez sentenced to three years in prison.
