By Karl Wehmhoener | firstname.lastname@example.org
CLOVIS -- Clovis Police were called out at 8:39 this morning to the intersection of Tennessee Street and Mabry
Drive on a report of a mini-van versus a motorcycle collision.
When officers arrived they found the motorcycle driver 82-year-old Bobby D. Fambro motionless in the roadway with severe injuries. The driver died at the Emergency Room two hours later.
Police say the motorcycle driver was struck from behind by the minivan, thrown off the motorcycle into the windshield of the minivan and onto the roadway.
The driver of the minivan was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center. Although uninjured, the minivan driver submitted to a voluntary routine blood draw because of the nature of the crash.
The crash investigation is being conducted by the Clovis Police Department's Major Crash Team and the investigation is continuing.
