The US high school graduation rate is higher than it's ever been, 80-percent according to a new study.

According to the National Center For Education Statistics, nearly four out of five students walked away with a diploma.

School accountability and increased school performance is believed to have driven this increase.

If this graduation rate continues to rise, it could hit 90 percent by the year 2020.
