Travelers Left Stranded
By Jay Gray
(NBC News) The Federal Aviation Administration has grounded flights to Tel Aviv for a second straight day amid concerns about rocket attacks in the region.
"As the situation continues to evolve we will adjust our guidance accordingly," said U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx, "but for the time being it is what it is."
At least 31 carriers from the United States, Europe and Asia have canceled flights into Ben Gurion International Airport a day after a rocket launched from the Gaza Strip landed about a mile from the facility.
It's the first since 1991, during the Gulf War, that airlines and agencies have instituted these types of cancellations.
