Now, the NFL reportedly wants half-time acts to pay for the privilege.
According to the Wall Street Journal, NFL reps have asked some potential acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-super bowl tour income to the league or make a financial contribution in exchange for the prime-time gig.
The paper reports the NFL has narrowed down the list of potential performers for the 2015 Super Bowl to three candidates: Katy Perry, Rihanna and Coldplay.
