Study: New Year's Eve and DUIs

-
New Year's Eve is traditionally a dangerous time to be on the road with drivers who've had too much to drink.

Recent research looked at ways to curb drunk driving and found a strong police presence on the streets may be key.

The study from the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation looked at the effect of various law enforcement activity on the number of impaired drivers.

Communities with higher rates of traffic stops and DUI arrests had lower rates of drunk drivers on the road.
