Later today, President Obama will name Office of Management and Budget Director, Sylvia Mathews Burwell, as her replacement
Secretary Sebelius has been in a place no one can envy - she is the constant target of criticism over the botched health care roll out, but even as she steps down the partisan bickering continues.
In what could be one her final appearances before congress, HHS Secretary Sebelius again defended her implementation of the health care law. "We have some very promising, early results," declared the former secretary of HHS.
Sebelius has been the primary the target for Republicans unhappy with Obamacare, but even as she resigns the criticism continues. "What is the cumulative cost of all those changes? And while we're on the subject how many more delays and changes are yet to come? "asked Senator Orrin Hatch, (R) Utah.
House Republicans have voted to repeal the law 54 times.
Now they're preparing a new alternative to the healthcare law. "We're building a consensus. We'll see," said House Speaker John Boehner, (R) Ohio.
Democrats are focusing on progress.
Nationally more than seven-point-five million people have selected insurance plans. "I am glad there are more than a quarter of a million Coloradans that now have health insurance that didn't have it," said Senator Michael Bennet, (D) Colorado.
President Obama is naming Sylvia Matthews Burwell to replace Sebelius.
Burwell currently runs the Office of Management and Budget, and she's known for her management and implementation skills.
Attributes the administration hopes will help her steer the law through its next challenges.
Two of the first big tests for Burwell will be overseeing how much premiums increase next year, and requiring more businesses to offer insurance.
