A dozen Democratic lawmakers released a report Monday that shows electronic cigarettes are being aggressively promoted to youth.

They want the Food and Drug Administration to regulate e-cigarettes just as they do conventional tobacco products.

Currently there are no restrictions on how e-cigarette makers advertise and promote their products.

The companies sponsor youth-oriented events and produce flavors that appeal to kids, according to Congressman Henry Waxman.

28 states restrict the age of those who can buy e-cigarettes and some companies have self-imposed limits.
