New York, New York -
The New York Times and "The Guardian" in Great Britain are praising Edward Snowden for leaking information about the NSA's surveillance program.
The Times says he did the country a great service, and wants the Obama Administration to give him a break.
Snowden has been living in Russia for the last few months -- to avoid espionage charges.
The Times thinks he should get some form of clemency or plea bargain that would let him return home.
The Guardian says giving classified information to journalists, while knowing the likely consequences, was "an act of courage."
It also makes a case for a pardon.
