Moore: One Year Later

(NBC News) Tuesday will mark one years since a massive tornado cut through the city of Moore, Oklahoma.

On May 20, 2013, an EF 5 tornado struck, more than a mile wide and on the ground for 39 minutes, the twister left a path of destruction 17 miles long.

24 people died that day and more than 11,000 homes were destroyed 

The tornado caused $2 billion in damage.

Tomorrow the city will hold a remembrance ceremony, and show how the world how they're rebuilding a stronger town.
