Feds To Investigate GM Recall Response Time

-
Federal investigators are trying to determine whether General Motors responded quickly enough before recalling nearly 1.4-million older model vehicles for faulty ignition switches.

The problem has been linked to 31 frontal crashes and 13 deaths.

Carmakers are legally required to report safety defects to federal authorities within five days.

According to USA Today, a spokesman for GM says the automaker "will cooperate fully" with the investigation.
