FBI To Curb Laser Flashing At Planes with Reward

-

The FBI is taking dead aim at "lasing"; the dangerous practice of shining a laser pointer into the cockpit of an airplane.

The agency says attacks are on the rise: From nearly 400 in 2005 to nearly 4,000 last year.

Now it is expanding a reward program, offering $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The program began in 12 cities nearly four months ago and is now expanding to all 50 states, Guam and Puerto Rico.

The rewards will be available for the next 90 days.
