DHS Reduces Number Of Federal Air Marshals

-
The Department of Homeland Security has cut the number of federal air marshals on commercial flights over the past three years.

An internal email obtained by CNN says fewer plain-clothed officers are now protecting aircraft from terrorists.

Budget cuts from $966-million to $805-million are blamed for the move.

The agency is reducing the staff through attrition but declined to say how many positions have been eliminated.
