FORT WORTH—U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement in honor of the 70th anniversary of D-Day:
“On this day, we honor the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy 70 years ago today. These heroes will always be honored by the country they served and the nations they helped to free.
“As we pay tribute to the heroes of D-Day, may we remember their sacrifices and those of their family members. May we remember their bravery and their commitment to the mission that would change the course of history.”
