(NBC News)  The Conservative Political Action Conference kicked off Thursday in Washington.

After sitting out last year, embattled New Jersey Governor Chris Christie got his chance to win over the far right.

It was a packed house for Governor Christie's speech, and whether voters support him or oppose him, most everyone wanted to hear what he had to say.

In the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll just 6-percent of Americans say they'd vote for the former 2016 front runner.

41 percent might, and 39 percent definitely wouldn't.
