Cold Temps May Dumb Down Your Smartphone

- BURLINGTON, VERMONT -- We all know to protect ourselves and our pets when the weather gets cold. But what about protecting our smartphones?

Smartphones usually warn against using them below 32 degrees. Some companies say it can hurt your battery life or even change the way your phone responds to commands.
In some cases, phones totally shut down after being out in the cold.

Not only can cold weather damage your phone, but hot weather can, also.

Experts say this can happen once temperatures reach 95 degrees or higher.
