Miami, Florida -
Fast food giant Burger King is beefing up its breakfast menu with some unusual additions.
A spokeswoman says the chain is launching a new program at 5,000 of its restaurants.
It's called "Burgers at Breakfast."
The new menu features a variety of whopper sandwiches, cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches as well as french fries and apple pie.
Burger King is also testing a chicken and waffle sandwich.
The new menu announcement comes as fast food restaurants duke it out to dominate the breakfast arena.
