AMARILLO -- It's National School Bus Safety Week. And DPS Troopers want to remind drivers of the dangers of driving around stopped school buses.

They say the most dangerous time for kids is when a bus is stopped either picking up or dropping off children.

This week, Troopers will be stepping up patrols to make sure drivers are obeying the laws.

Some school districts will even have Troopers on board buses to look for drivers not obeying the law.
