Put on your boots and jeans, and giddy on up!

It was National Cowboy Day at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum.

Event goers got to ride horse, take tours of the hall of fame and rope just like the cowboys.

"We made a rope and we saw a bunch of pictures of horses, yes.
"Roped a little cow and i'm probably going to ride a horse."

The national day of the cowboy campaign was founded in 2004 to preserve, protect and promote the cowboy and western heritage.
