According to the Centers for Disease Control, 484 Chikungunya and 82 West Nile cases have been reported this year in the US.
Experts say it's important to take precautions when you're outside.
Remember to practice the four D's, stay inside at dawn and dusk, dress with long sleeves and pants, use a repellent with deet in it, and drain standing water.
