Toyota is telling dealers to put the brakes on the sales of six models.
The automaker says seat heaters in some of its models do not comply with federal standards.
Toyota says a section of the heated seats are supposed to be made of materials to slow flames at a specific rate.
The stop-sale affects certain Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra vehicles.
Toyota says it is preparing changes to address the problem.
The automaker says there have been no reports of incidents or injuries, and they are *not* issuing a recall because of what they consider a very low safety risk.
