Children and Activity
How active are your kids? A new study shows it might depend on the company they keep. Research looked at nearly 100 children who participated in an after school program. The children wore devices that measured their activity levels. They also filled out surveys about their friendships. Children were six times more likely to adjust to their friends' physical activity level. And the amount of time spent in vigorous activity was directly related to their friends.
