March for Babies
By Veronica Dietrich | firstname.lastname@example.org
Amarillo laced up its sneakers, marching for the health of all babies.
The March for Babies started bright and early this morning at seven with a 5k run at Thompson Park, with a march following 9:30.
The goal of the march is to raise $500,000 for the March of Dimes.
Officials expected around 3,200 walkers.
March of Dimes participant Manny Avalos says, "I've never really made it out until this year, and i'm glad that I did. There's a lot of people supporting the cause, and I'd like to be a part of that cause as well."
Last year's march raised more than $450,000
