Many Parents Bench Football Players

- DALLAS --      It's considered the most popular sport in the U.S., but according to a new poll, 33% of Americans say the risk of head injuries and long-term brain trauma would make them less likely to allow a child to participate in football.
The poll found 86% of adults have heard about the connection between concussions from football and long-term brain injury.
But 70% of those polled still think the benefits of playing football outweigh the risk of head injury, saying the game builds character.
