April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Panhandle Child Placement Services encourages you to take action in protecting your children.

Many kids can become victims of abuse from family, friends, and strangers.

They say it's important to communicate with your kids regularly. Licensed Professional Counselor., Aimee Campbell, says although the topic of abuse can be hard to talk about, it's not something to avoid.

PCPS is also looking for foster and adoptive parents. They provide free training for those interested.
