The biggest question is how the district plans to spend it.
The school board has been working on their new budget since May and met again tonight to flesh out details of where the money will be used.
Board members will meet again to finalize the budget on August 25th.
Last year they approved 1.5 million dollars for a new agriculture building.
April McDaniel, CISD Coordinator of District Communications, says the project will be finished when school starts in two weeks.
The building will help manage the growth of a department that as grown from 77 students three years ago to over 400 students this year.
