Local Women Honored at Girl Scout's "Women of Distinction" Today

AMARILLO -- Local women are honored for their achievements here on the high plains.

The Girl Scout's "Women Of Distinction" event was today.

It recognizes area women for their outstanding contributions to our community.

Dr. Majorie Jenkins was given the Discover Award for her contributions to women's health. 

Long-time Girl Scout volunteer Suzanne Huguley and Terry Price from Xcel Energy were honored with the Connect and Take-Action Award. 

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Janet Slaughter.

Congratulations to all the recipients.
