Local Nonprofit Receives Grant from The Allstate Foundation

AMARILLO - Allstate agency owners from across Texas recently came together to secure a $91,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grant to benefit domestic violence nonprofits throughout the state, and a local nonprofit is on the list.

Martha's Home received  $5,000 of that grant for volunteerism during the Texas domestic violence nonprofit supply drive.

“As small business owners and community leaders, Allstate agency owners and financial specialists see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the communities they serve,” said Larry Sedillo, Allstate Texas field senior vice president. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we’re proud of our agencies who volunteer and raise funds to improve the lives of people in the state of Texas.”

The grants support organizations addressing domestic violence, youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, hunger and other causes.

Amarillo Allstate agents took part in the granting process,  Rex Young, Kevin Vincent,  Ashley Mauldin, and Jeff Donaway.
